Be Alive Christian Fellowship will be involved in an outreach event with the Fellowship of Christian Farmers (FCF) at the upcoming Milton Fall Fair on September 22-24, 2017. This involves managing a booth at the Fair and handing out FCF’s Gospel walking sticks and Gideon New Testaments, sharing the Gospel as the Lord leads! Volunteers are needed for one-hour blocks – contact Kinh Quach at kquach@keybase.com if you can help:

Rags and small container for water.  Canvas from Dollar store acceptable.  8x10, 12x16. Small container ie. aluminum pie dish for paints or palette paper if you have any. Fee $25.00 per session. No experience necessary.

HOUSING... OUR FUTURE Community Forum

Milton Seniors’ Activity Centre, 500 Childs Drive, Milton
This FORUM will address how a housing crisis affects an individual, a family and the greater community, featuring keynote speakers, Jason Palmer – MTH’s Case Manager talking about his own personal story involving homelessness, as well as MTH’s successes and program. Again this year, the Housing Our Future Forum will feature a panel discussion with representation from many of MTH’s partner agencies providing help to people in difficult circumstances. On Saturday October 14 at 7:00pm, Rosanne Warren, flute, Larisa Gulenco, piano  and Marion Samuel-Stevens, soprano, with support by St Paul's Choir present Yours Affectionately , a concert including actual letters sent by Ontario settlers back to their loved ones in Scotland in the mid 1800's, and music popular in the era. Admission is by donation at the door, suggested at 15$. Be part of Canada's birthday party and soak up local history and music. See you there!

BOWL-A-THON FUNDRAISER FOR NATIVITY

The On the Way to Bethlehem Nativity Team is hosting a Bowl-a-thon fundraiser to raise funding to provide the animals for the ON THE WAY TO BETHLEHEM NATIVITY PAGEANT (Dec. 1-3, 2017). Every church is asked to recruit a team(s) of 6 people to participate. All sponsorships over $10 will receive a charitable tax receipt.  Each person on the team is asked to find minimum pledges of $50 in sponsorship. Our famous and much anticipated Card Party night, Card-A-Rama, is coming Friday October 27. Doors open at 7:00pm and play begins at 7:30pm. There will be Progressive Bridge, Euchre and Bid Euchre. ON THE WAY TO BETHLEHEM NATIVITY PAGEANT (download poster)
Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, December 1, 2 & 3, 2017 – 6:30 to 8:30pm
Country Heritage Park, 8560 Tremaine Rd., Milton
“On the Way to Bethlehem” tells the Christmas story in an outdoor, living pageant. On arrival, visitors will enter the large reception area (Gambrel Barn), enjoy the music of the massed choir, and when ready, groups will travel the road to Bethlehem with a “guide”.  On their 30–45 minute journey, visitors will witness King Herod’s court, interact with Roman soldiers, shepherds, magi, innkeepers and fellow travelers to reveal the Christmas story. At the end of their journey, visitors will follow a lamplight walkway to the refreshment area, have their passports stamped and be given a wagon ride to the exit. This nativity pageant is the signature event of Milton Area Christian Churches Working Together and 2017 will mark the 16th year this event is staged.
