SPECIAL EVENTS Coming Up

CHURCHES & HALTON’S HOUSING CRISIS
Monday, September 23, 2019 from 9:00AM to noon

St. Volodymyr Cultural Centre, 1280 Dundas St. West, Oakville
Hosted by the HMC Connections (Halton Multicultural Council), and recommended by Milton Transitional Housing and Faith United Milton
Halton’s housing crisis means there are not enough low-cost housing options for people to live in Halton affordably. We need to create safe, affordable living solutions and make sure there are options for seniors, young families, and people working low-wage jobs. FAITH GROUPS can be part of the solution! Come and find out how your church can help … and help church ministry at the same time! Register for this FREE EVENT at: http://hmcconnections.com/housing-crisis-registration/

ENGLISH CONVERSATION CIRCLE
Every Wednesday starting October 2 from 10:00-11:30am
HMC Connections office, Milton Mall

Faith United Milton is partnering with HMC Connections to provide an opportunity for people (seniors and others) to gather, practice English conversation, and develop the confidence necessary to enjoy being part of the community of Milton. This ECC will feature small groups and we are inviting seniors and stay-at-home caregivers in particular. We welcome all people in the Milton community who are interested in practicing their English conversation skills and widening their social circle with friendly and helpful volunteers. Participants are encouraged to register for the Wednesday morning ECC through HMC Connections. For more information or to register contact: Shinobu Yajima, 905-842-2486 ext.241, syajima@hmcconnections.com, www.hmcconnections.com
