Deacon Nina Page will be offering Lenten Study on the book “Let Me Go There”.
Bestselling author Paula Gooder continues her popular series on the seasons of the Christian year with this daily companion for the six weeks of Lent, leading readers deeper into the spirit of the season and opening up the scriptures that are read in churches during this period. She begins with an introduction to the season of Lent and its the characteristic themes, exploring how to use it as a time for spiritual growth. In forty short sections suitable for daily reading, Paula then reflects on a theme associated with the season, including: Wilderness, Journey, Fasting, Taking up your cross, Discipleship, Prayer, Temptation

HUMAN TRAFFIC AWARENESS DAY PRESENTATION (download poster)

Last year the Ontario Provincial Legislature passed the Human Trafficking Act and declared February 22nd each year to be Human Traffic Awareness Day in Ontario. Human trafficking along the 403 and 401 corridors including the hotels in Milton is a major concern. To increase public this year SAVIS Halton (Sexual Assault and Violence Intervention Services) will be observing the day with a presentation at Grace Church. Numerous partner organizations including other churches and political figures will be invited to attend the event that will take place in the Sanctuary.

COLDEST NIGHT OF THE YEAR WALK

So far we have walking teams registered from: Be Alive Christian Fellowship, Faith United Milton, Grace Anglican, Knox Presbyterian, and Nassagaweya Presbyterian – MAKE SURE YOUR CHURCH IS REPRESENTED! The Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) is a fundraising walk supporting Milton Transitional Housing. Get your team together, break out your boots and hats, and join your friends and neighbours to support Milton Transitional Housing and our mission to provide bridge accommodation and supportive counseling to those in our community who are facing homelessness. Registration for the CNOY walk is from 4-5pm, with the walk beginning at 5:15. Starting and ending at the Milton Sports Centre, there are 2k, 5k and 10k walking routes. This musical sermon will empower your personal faith journey with a greater desire to love the Lord through joyful and meaningful service to others. This musical sermon will invite you to look beyond just a liturgical season and embracing the call of Easter as a lifetime vocation of joyful service.  Invite a family member or friend to join us for this musical and prayerful journey with Jesus to Calvary and the Empty Tomb, with His grace, for His greatness and His glory!

Connect is a monthly social gathering aimed at helping singles and couples without kids connect with others in the community. This month the meet-up will take place at Ned Devine's where participants can grab a drink or some food and enjoy some good conversation and laughs. There's often live music throughout the evening as well. While this initiative is designed with newcomers in mind, anyone without kids who is looking to get more connected and build more relationships is welcome.
